James Earle Fraser’s famous Buffalo nickel design that circulated from 1913 to 1938 was recreated on these stunning large silver dollars in 2001. The large diameter of the coins showcases all of the fine detail and contours of this popular and enduring design.

The coins  were issued under the "American Buffalo Coin Act of 2000." And produced by the United State Mint in commemoration of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian.  There is a Proof strike coin issued by the Philadelphia Mint and an uncirculated strike coin issued by the Denver Mint. Both coins were manufactured to an exceptionally high standard. We are offering the coins as a two-piece set. Both coins have been certified by PCGS in near perfect MS69 and PR69 condition. The special James Earl Fraser labels add to the collectible value of these pieces.
